FBAUP
Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto
FBAUP (Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto) is the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. Its history traces back to the Aula de Desenho e Debuxo, a drawing school founded in 1780 to support the industries of Porto.[1] In 1802 the painter Vieira Portuense renamed it an "Academia," and in 1836 it became the Academia Portuense de Belas-Artes, offering five courses: Historical Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Civil and Naval Architecture, and Historical Engraving.[1] It became the Escola de Belas-Artes do Porto (EBAP) in 1911, was integrated into the University of Porto in 1992, and was established as the Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto in 1994.[1] It today offers undergraduate degrees in Fine Arts and Design, and master's programmes across various artistic and design fields.[1]
Professors
Joana Rego, Rui Mendonça, Luís Mendonça (Gémeo Luís), and Heitor Alvelos teach or have taught at FBAUP, and José Saraiva and João Martino hold degrees from the faculty.

André Correia completed a master's degree at FBAUP, supervised by Heitor Alvelos.
