Nicolas Schepers
User researcher & UX designer
Nicolas Schepers is a Belgian user researcher and UX designer, associated with the design studio sparc* and with PXL-Digital at Hogeschool PXL.[1] He holds a Master's in Communications & Multimedia Design, specialising in Interaction Design, and has also worked independently as a webdesigner, photographer, and graphic designer.[2] Earlier in his career he was a webdesigner at Zupp in Zolder, Belgium, and interned as an interaction designer at Saatchi & Saatchi in Brussels.[2]
European Commission
From March 2013 to December 2016, Schepers worked on "Creating a Unified Web Presence for the European Commission," first as a user researcher and later as a product manager for the design and usability experts on the team.[1] This is the same European Commission initiative on which André Correia worked as Senior UX Designer and then Lead UX Designer / Design Manager, and the two collaborated on the Better Regulation Portal. André has credited Schepers's UX research — including field interviews and data analysis he shadowed and learned from — as instrumental to the design decisions made on that project.
