DRCC

The Direção Regional de Cultura do Centro (DRCC) is a peripheral service of Portugal's direct state administration, with administrative autonomy, based in Coimbra. It was reorganised under Decree-Law 114/2012 of 25 May.[1] Its mission is to create conditions for access to cultural assets; monitor artistic structures and their evaluation; carry out and collaborate on the safeguarding, valuing, and promotion of architectural and archaeological heritage; and support museums.[1]
André Correia
André Correia worked at the DRCC on a contract as UX/UI Designer, Front-End Developer, and Graphic Designer (2009–2011), after his first job at Edições Eterogémeas.[2] There he created and developed "BV:DRCC" (Biblioteca Virtual DRCC), a bibliographic archive website with custom back-end configuration and advanced search filtering, cataloguing publications for which the DRCC had granted government subsidies to publish; the website for Fragmentos, a series of lectures on immaterial culture, museum curation, and architectural heritage; and "Publicart," a Google Maps API and Fusion Tables project mapping public art across the country. He also served as art director for print design for cultural institutions, including Fragmentos's brochures and Memórias, a catalog and flyer for a contemporary art exhibition.[2]
